AI has been selected for two projects concerning special machines:
Given the difficult access in the winter of the water intake at Encombres which provides water for La Coche dam, EDF launched a project to automate the water intake.
This new facility, created by AI allows remote control water intake of river and optimized gate management.
The development of the PLC program has been fully tested in platform thanks to the implementation of the simulation of the operative part.

The Renouv'eau project includes the renovation of the remote control system of hydro-electric plants. In this context, AI actively participates in the development of a standard of supervision.

Renouv’Eau project is dedicated to the renovation of remote control system of hydraulic structure of Sisteron.
This power plant which is composed of 2 similar hydraulic power units represents a bottleneck. It does not own unloaders that could permit to evacuate upstream water in case of problems on one or both hydraulic power units.
The good working of the power plant is critical and requires high reliability of programs.
In the framework of this, AI has acted as support to project leader for the renovation of power unit 2 during several months between 2012 and 2013.
The project of modernization of the remote control of the valley of Tignes was partly entrusted to AI.
This project consists in the modernization of the control system by coordinating two major sites that are Brévières and Malgovert. These two hydropower plants produce about 800 MW.
The architectural design of this tandem line is a first et the CIH (Hydraulic Engineering Center), and automation and functional were delegated to AI.
The commissioning of the pilot project will be carried out in part by us, as well as monitoring the proper functioning.
