A.I provided the electrical management and supervision system for the northern leg of the Grande Arche de la Défense building in Paris. The uniqueness of the project stemmed from the building's high-rise status, which requires a power-supply switchover time of less than five seconds for priority connections such as elevators and fire-fighting equipment. The PLCs and supervision software are designed to provide the maintenance staff with easy troubleshooting via clear signals indicating potentially-faulty equipment. The system also offers possible combined operation off of the main energy grid and the main backup generator. |
