AI was mandated to provide a visual management system for a pharmaceutical sector company. The information displayed concerns raw production data but also real time user configurable performance index. All these informations are followed per hour, shift and per machine. The system greatly simplify operator’s tasks by centralizing all the necessary figures on one (or more) big screen. The system also provide daily archiving ability with one year of informations.
AI was selected to develop the program and perform the commissioning of an automated sawing line of aluminium slabs (up to 24 tons) for a final customer in China.
The whole programming of the PLC, safety PLC and field equipment communications protocol has been realized on this project.
The installation, containing a conveyors line, a manipulator trolley, a band saw, and a pin marking unit, is managed by a S7-300 Siemens PLC.
