The project's goal is the full renovation of the ground lighting system of Bourget airport.
The airport is made of three runways. Our experience in airport field allowed us to propose specific tecnical solutions to answer to complex operation processes.
This project has been managed closely with the operator, Paris airport, and air-controllers.
We were called by a client to install a remote monitoring system on an EDf power dam under overhauling works.
The client needed to install an monitoring system using a webcam and of two float based level sensors.
We chose the hardware architecture shown in the above figure composed by: a Mobotix (D16D) webcam with a 180° panoramic vision, with a PoE power supply and a connection range extender for distances over 100m; two float based level sensors; and an eWON PLC serving as an ethernet gateway and communicating via the GSM-3G network.
A complete connection procedure was handed to the client for remote connexion using a secured VPN tunnel and a fixed IP address to access the webcam images. The PLC was programmed to send SMS messages when a water level alarm is activated.
Électricité de France (EDF) turned to AI to specify and supervise the cabling of 8 of the Rhine valley hydraulic power plants' renovated drive system, including the supply of 1 electrical cabinet for controling each site. A need of the solution is , to be able to switch back anytime to the initial system.
Those plants having to be at all time processing over water an important flow (1300m3/s admissible), the solution had to be totally safe to be implemented and absolutely reliable.
Because of potential dam risks, PLC coding must be rigorous and must follow precise rules. Standardization facilitates comprehension and sites maintenance. That is why, coding must be standardized.
In the framework of coding standardization project, coding, verification and validation of code blocks dedicated to dam automation and its documentation was given to AI.
